Privacy Policy - the basics - Who we are
Oliver Kate is a trading name of Covale Consultancy B.V., a private limited company registered in the Netherlands under Chamber of Commerce number 92910319. In this policy, "Oliver Kate", "we", "us" and "our" refer to Covale Consultancy B.V. trading as Oliver Kate.
We operate the website oliverkate.com. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, how long we keep it, and your rights in relation to it. We act as the data controller in respect of all personal data collected through this website.
As a small business, Covale Consultancy B.V. does not meet the threshold requiring the appointment of a Data Protection Officer under Article 37 of the GDPR. For all data protection matters, please contact us directly at hello@oliverkate.com.
What data we collect and why
We collect personal data in the following circumstances:
Contact form submissions. When you use the contact form on our website, we collect your name, email address and the content of your message. We use this information solely to respond to your enquiry.
Human One waitlist. When you join the Human One waitlist, we collect your name and email address. We use this information to keep a record of interest in the Human One initiative and to contact you if and when relevant opportunities become available.
Website analytics. Our website is built on the Wix platform. Wix collects certain technical data about your visit, including your IP address, browser type, pages visited and time spent on the site. This data is used to understand how visitors use the site and to improve its performance. Please refer to further information on cookies.
We do not use your data for unsolicited marketing. We do not sell, share or transfer your personal data to third parties except as described in this policy.
Legal basis for processing
We process your personal data on the following legal bases under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):
Contact form submissions: legitimate interest in responding to enquiries directed to us, pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Human One waitlist: consent, freely given when you choose to submit the form, pursuant to Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us at hello@oliverkate.com.
Website analytics: consent, obtained via our cookie banner before any non-essential cookies are placed, pursuant to Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and the Dutch Telecommunications Act (Telecommunicatiewet).
Data processors and third-party services
We use the following third-party services to operate our website and business. Each acts as a data processor on our behalf, processing data only on our instructions and subject to appropriate data processing agreements:
Wix.com Ltd. Our website is hosted and operated on the Wix platform. Wix processes data on servers located within the EU and in other jurisdictions. Where data is transferred outside the EU, Wix relies on Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission. Wix's privacy policy is available at wix.com/about/privacy.
Microsoft Corporation. We use Microsoft 365 for email. Emails sent to hello@oliverkate.com are processed and stored on Microsoft servers. Where data is transferred outside the EU, Microsoft relies on Standard Contractual Clauses. Microsoft's privacy policy is available at microsoft.com/privacy.
We will update this section if additional processors are engaged. We do not engage any processor without ensuring appropriate contractual safeguards are in place in accordance with Article 28 GDPR.

How long we keep your data
Contact form submissions are retained for a maximum of two years from the date of submission, or until the relevant matter is resolved, whichever is sooner, after which they are securely deleted.
Human One waitlist submissions are retained for a maximum of three years from the date of submission. We will review the waitlist annually and contact you to confirm your continued interest. You may request removal at any time by contacting hello@oliverkate.com.
Website analytics data is retained in accordance with Wix's data retention policies. Please refer to Wix's privacy policy for details.
Your rights
Under GDPR, you have the following rights in relation to your personal data:
